EZ4 Client pack 25th July 2008.

This is a pack assembled from all the tools available for the EZ4 and other carts that can use the code from it.


DS rom list autoupdate tool replaced with XML2romlistds autoupdate version from cracker. Readme for application included in the pack.

Simply run updatelist.bat to update the list. Now uses ADVANsCEne DS dat as opposed to custom created list.

DS list updated to Zoo Tycoon 2 (Korea) using above tool.
Note that the list is optional and confers no benefits other than not having to type a name in.
There is a box available in the top left of the application to type a name in.
If using hacked roms or roms otherwise not in the list (the XXXX/ique releases are included in the list) add them one by one (as opposed to adding as a batch) for any rom not in the list and without a name will be called .nds (with corresponding save file) and if there are multiple occurences of this the original .nds will be overwritten.

GBA rom list updated to 2782 Bratz - The Movie (Europe). No new XXXX or homebrew added.

Previous updates (released after last client pack) fixed
Trauma Center 2,TopSpin 3,Nanashi no Game, Disgaea, Taiko No Tatsujin, Harvest Moon DS (E) and Advance Wars - Dark Conflict (E) and (U).

Added save for Brain Age 2. Copy it across when you patch the rom making sure to use the same name.
You may wish to create your own save as it asks for personal info.
iDeaS is the emulator used for this save.

On a related note Windirt (EZ官方发言人 on the .cn forums if you did not know) posted about the new Diagasso Band Brothers. The rom uses 64Mbit file save while the EZ4 only ships with a 8Mbit save space (it is in fact the only rom that gets close to it), the EZ5 can get around this by saving directly to the memory card but the EZ4 is unable to do this (hardware limitation) so it will not be possible to have full support for the game.

operation step sample.
1. Write the GBA game which you wanna to link to minisD/microSD with EZ4Client (for exsample: 0140_-_Gyakuten_Saiban_(J).gba)
2. Write the NDS game which correspond the GBA game to miniSD/microSD with EZ4Client, option " Link with GBA game" must be checked. ( for exsample:0186 - Gyakuten Saiban - Yomigaeru Gyakuten (JP) (M2).zip)
3. Enter the GBA mode, format 256M/384M Norflash by press Start then A.
4. Enter the SD card in GBA mode, choose the GBA game which you want to link, press Select then A, wait the write procedure finish.
5. Restart DS in to NDS mode and excute the NDS game. if the link works, you can free choose any chapter at the beginning.
Point: 1. NDS game which need to link must check the "Link with GBA game" option. 2. the GBA game which need to link must be wroten on the first position of 256M/384M norflash.

This fixed the new smb loading. Not the patched release by wrg but the original psy release loads and saves fine now. Just like the list says there is a problem with the mini-games but hey, I'm sure that will be fixed soon too.

The best thing I can see is that Kim Possible runs !

Only one more sleep and the cart should be here. My wife will be getting my Mini-SD card tomorrow as well. It should be a good night tomorrow, and I have friday off work. Sweet. Thats if the damned thing ever leaves Amsterdam.

Never owned a PS1, RE means nothing to me. I watched someone play it once, and thought "Ugh, too linear and stiff". Nothing like a decent FPS. MPH looks ok. I played the demo (and the cart has come in very handy, lots of games work with it on the EZ3 that won't work with others) and thought it was good. The full game may be better....

As for NSMB, meh. I never owned a NES or SNES. I played Great Gianna Sisters back in the C=64 / Amiga days and didn't think too much of that. I'm not a platform gamer. I much prefer FPS and car racing games.

So, that aside, yeh, I want KP to work. For a cartoon character, she's hot

Sleep is highly overrated, heh! Why you can go for days and then it only makes you hallucinate, a little! I'm just kidding of course. I took my 2 week vacation starting the day after the birth. The wife is off as well so we are taking shifts, lol. I let her sleep from 9 or 10 p.m. till 4 or 5 a.m. and then I sleep from 5 or 6 a.m. till 9 or 10 a.m. It's working out ok I guess.

Well, for one the mini games work on the new super mario now.

You do have to recopy your rom in order to be patched again.

Which mostly means:

NSMB now works, even the minigames. Something about the Mario and Lugiu Games. Who knows, it could be the saves now work properly.

You have to recopy the games with the new patcher in this version.

Next update in 3-5 days is going to have Long File Name support (woot!) and something else that the babelfish translator butchers beyond belief.

I only have one more major request:

Getting Dipstar to work with the EZ4. I haven't tested it, but the m3 supports it, and it would be nice if we could say to cracker "Ha ha" It works now.

@cory, there are some icons on the EZ4 that look like audio / video stuff. Who knows, maybe they'll add in moonshell type enhancements directly to the loader. Now that would be sweet.

Damn, long name support by the time I get my EZ4 hopefully.
