I've got an "old" EZ2, the battery is dead. Is there a step-by-step instruction on how to change the battery (with pictures maybe?)? Is it soldered to the cart or does it click in, are there risk? I hope someone will help me! Thanks in advance!

Came back huh Mr zxr750j, there may be an old post around here somewhere but I doubt it.

Battery replacement then, it is soldered in and uses some tags to do it. If you can find a battery with a tag already on it that would be great but if not either use some wire or sandpaper to rough the surface up and use the old tag.
Other than that it is a quick 30 second soldering job, just make sure to observe the polarity.

If you are having exceptional difficulty post back and I can try and sort out some high res scans.

I've been around for a long while, I used to realm the english forum at .cn
I sold out to the SC lite and now the X9 but the EZ is still in my heart. The cart isn't mine anymore but I can't abandon the people who bought it from me. I hope one pic should be enough though, with some pointers to important connections. By the way, thanks for your fast reply!

Sorry I lent my scanner to a friend and so have had nothing to produce a decent image (not to mention my EZ2 is currrently AWOL).
I did however find an old image buried on my hard drive, by the looks of it this concerns the c9 filter (or lack thereof) but it should be fine for some help with the battery:

I do not know who is responsible for this image but my thanks to them.

Thanks FAST6191, I think I'll just rip out the batt and see what comes off ;) , and repair everything with a new battery. Or maybe cut the plastic surrounding the batt in two and peal it out.

Hi!
I have a EZ-Cart 128.
The battery is dead.
I have some electronic skills, so I want to change the battery for one not
rechargeable. (I cant find a rechargeable battery here in Brazil).
How to disable the recharge circuit from the cart?
Thanks in advance.

I really would try and find a rechargeable battery (a quick search could not run up a battery either, at least for .br sites).

Disabling the charging is something I have no idea about but you might try using a diode.

I got a battery and I was stold to solder it back in, does anyone know a place where I can get something soldered? Or is there any alternative methods of installing something that should be soldered?'

Where the battery is connected to those 2 Oval Metal things is where it needs to be soldered. I had riped out my old battery there, so all I have is those 2 silver metal ovals..

Those two metal ovals are solder and will melt if you touch them with a soldering iron.

A local electronics shop will usually do such a job for token fee if you are not up to soldering it yourself, as for alternatives there is no easier/more reliable way to do it.

I removed the screw, slided the front slightly down so the casing comes off. I put a very small flat screwdriver between the flat metal and the battery and forced the soldered points. first to then bottom (a bit hard to get to but not difficult. Now I'm going to search for a suitable battery. If someone is interested: I can post a pic of the card without the battery. I'll keep y'all updated!
