I done, everything that I could think of to get this to work and it won't. I don't want to repeat everything I went through but here's a topic at GBATemp that explains what I went through so far to get this to work: http://gbatemp.net/t224978-more-ez-flas ... bles?&st=0.
For those who don't want to read that other topic at GBATemp, let me re-iterate (please read this whole post)
AKAIO loads a game into PSRAM, lets say its Pokemon Leaf Green, for example. Ok, now, I play the game awhile and save. Next, I turn off my DS, load it up again and start the same game (Pokemon Leaf Green). The save still exists. Ok now, I turn it off and decide that I want to play another game. Lets say Pokemon Emerald Version. So I load that up, and whether it has .sav file on the micro SD or not, its now using the previously saved game in SRAM, in this case, its clearly the save for Pokemon Leaf Green. Its supposed to be using the Pokemon Emerald.sav file, but its not. Now it doesn't matter what game I play first or second, it will not load the .sav file (from the microSD) into SRAM. To make things even clearer:
PSRAM (rom creating save file)->SRAM(save on ezflash) = works (and it retains save) SRAM(save on ezflash)->Micro SD (.sav file) =works Micro SD (.sav file) -> SRAM(save on ezflash) = does not work!
This problem is not limited to AKAIO, it happens with the most recent version of GBA Exploder as well
To answer some more questions:
What version of EZ 3 in 1 do you have? A: "The new one" v2. With EZ5C13 printed on the PCB.
Maybe your battery is dead, have you tried running SRAM test (v2)? My battery is not dead, its retaining the save after power off. And yes I have run the test and it passed.
Pokemon is a Flash 1M save. You need to patch with the EZ Flash 4 client! I did that way before this. Still got issues.
Try erasing NOR and try again. Its been done, still having the problem
This is really annoying. I'm extremely pissed that when I order something for $20 bucks that it doesn't work I'm about to return this piece of garbage!

Hehe. Mixed saves with pokemon games. Long time i have not seen this kind of post.
Your problem is simple. GBA pokemon saves (the same on NDS games) are compatible each other. Saves are stored in a SRAM memory. When you flash a GBA game into PSRAM or NOR mode, the SRAM memory is dumped to retrieve back the current save to the microSD and load a new one from the microSD. If there is no save available on the microSD, nothing will be written in this memory This mean the previous save will still be here. There you go for a mixed save.
A simple trick to fix this is to provide a blank save for your Pokemon Emerald Version. You can also reset the save in pokemon emerald : hold select + Up + B before you press start to begin the game.
