I have a 1gig EZ FLASH III that came with a EZ WRITE II. I've been using EZMODE set to EZ3 and the FLASH side works very well, no problems there. The trouble is i have been trying to load any game from the 1gig side and it doesn't work at all... well i can load games onto it but after they appear to boot, sometimes giving me a cheat error or sumthing, the game will show the GAMEBOY logo with no NINTENDO logo underneath it. the game sits there : (. If anyone has had this problem can u plz post what u did exactly? That would be much appreciated OH yah, im used EZMANAGER 2.09 to update and format first time, then updated OS using 2.20 is that makes a difference, EZDISK didn't work on either OS's

If you are playing just GBA:
Use EZManager 2.08 instead. Format the cart with it and rewrite the GBA loader.
If you are playing DS:
Use EZManager 2.10 instead. Format the cart with it and rewrite the DS loader. Compatibility will vary with different versions of the software so check the compatibility list.

ok, i dled EZM 2.08 and first backed my saves and then formatted EZDISK, then formatted EZ FLASH, than updated the OS to EZM 2.08's v1.25. I made a folder on EZ DISK and called it ROMZ and placed Shining Soul 2 into it. When i tried to run it i got the same GAMEBOY logo with no NINTENDO logo under it. Is there anything else i can do or was it something i forgot to do, just to note im doing this all under EZ mode Flash Writer 3 cuz it seems to only work under this, at least from what i remember

When you installed your drivers, how did you go about it ?

Did you let Windows choose your drivers for you or did you preinstall them (right click on the .inf file and choose install) ?

Do you have EZ Writer II printed in white ink on the bottom of your EZ Writer on the actual PCB ?

I'm starting to think you may not have an EZ Writer III (which is the only reason you could be using EZ_Mode.exe), but may have an EZ Writer II, in which case you probably have the wrong drivers installed.

Uninstall the EZ Writer via Add/Remove Hardware, reboot and try reinstalling the EZ Writer again, this time choosing EZ Writer II drivers. You will find that EZ_Mode should no longer do anything for you (it should all be ghosted out).

Now try writing GBA games to the root directory of your 1Gbit section of the cart and see how you go. Don't forget to do a full format before writing your first game after reinstalling the drivers.

Hmmm i think im doing something wrong here. I went into my system and then device manager. I plugged my EZWRITER in so it would appear and clicked unistall. I restarted my computer plugged it back in or rather it was still plugged in from earlier and the computer dectected it and called said something like "New hardware found EZ WRITER 3." My WRITER does have EZ WRITE 2 printed on the bottom by the way. Even though it called it self EZ WRITER 3 i choose to install and specifily clicked on the inf.? thing inside the EZ MANAGER 2.08 USB DRIVER folder and clicked to install. I just checked the driver informaition on the device calling itself "EZ WRITER 3" and its is using a file name EZWrit3.sys
