I was hoping to be able to use EZ manager 2.09AA because of increased homebrew compatibility. Looking on the compatability list on the wiki, SM 64 DS should work with 2.09AA because AA is after b1 (or am I incorrect in assuming this). However, it does not. In fact, the NOR says it's an invalid rom. I downloaded the "redump patch" and used a few generic ips patchers I found with google to patch the rom, but it still won't work. Am I doing this wrong? I have searched these forums for two days, but have found nothing. However, if I'm wrong, feel free to point out my stupidity.
Why you insist on using an old version of EZManager I am unsure (2.20 now exists).
To get it to work just burn it to the NAND memory (EZDisk if you are using an unaltered version of EZManager). with something higher than 2.09 test and it should work fine.
The redump patch is merely to correct a dumping error.
I've tried that. I think it's more of the NDS loader than the program. No matter what version I burn it with the games work and the homebrew does not with 1.04, and the homebrew works but not the games in 1.02. I see a series of characters at the top left followed by 2 white screens.
