Post subject: 256mb side of EZFlash 3 not holding data
PostPosted: Wed May 31, 2006 8:36 pm
Ive got roms on my EZFlash 3 256mb side and can actually play it on my SP but its not showing up in EZManager and if I try and write another game to the card it doesn't write the game just renames the 1st rom on the card to the new game and plus after writing that card its not on there when I put the card back in the EZ Reader. Was working fine the other day. Plus now I have to start the EZManager program before putting my card in the reader otherwise it freezes up on me. Even tried reinstalling the OS and that didn't even work. I really need help here plus maybe once I get it fixed someone can tell me where to download skins for it, seeing I lost my Metroid one when I installed the new OS. Thanks

That happens to everyone where the first game is "EZ3Name" or something to that effect and the rest of the things written to the 256Mbit side are named what the previous game should be named. However with it replacing everything when you write the next thing you should really back up the saves on the cart and then run EZCheck and do a format of both sides afterward. I recommend going back to EZManager 2.08 which is a lot better with GBA games. 2.09+ screwed up a lot of things with the games... For help on skinning the loader go here.

Every once and a while EZManager will show the data for a second or so on the 256mb side. Happened a few times last night. I can play every one of the games, that are on the 256mb side but doesn't show in EZManager. I did go back to 2.08. So only way to fix it is to get EZCheck and reformat the whole card? Damn wish hadnot gone and formatted the NAND side then added all my roms again. Ok, well where do I get EZCheck? BTW thanks

EZCheck fixed the problem and just got done making a new skin, thanks to the skin archive. Is it normal for the upgrade of the OS to sort of stall after it gets to the U. Gonna let it sit and hopefully it will go, can't remember if it did it before or whether I did something wrong. I followed the directions I think. Thanks for the help.
