This might be in the wrong thread, but I am trying to install my EZF3 on my new laptop.
I downloaded the new EZ Manager 2.22 I can't seem to find the old help file telling me exactly how to install it (ie. point the installation toward the ezwriter2.sys file or something like that)....I don't want to screw up the installation like I did the first time 2 years ago.
I notice they have a whole new directory called "USB drivers". Am I right to assume that the EZManager has been rewritten to be "plug'n'play"?
Otherwise, I think I install the .sys files manually in the system32 folder and then plug in the EZflash writer?
Thanks for the quick response and my apologies for not searching deep enough for the answer.
From the link you provided, this is my understanding:
1) I can't install my EZF3 1 gig with EZ-writer 2 using the new EZ Manager 2.22.
2) I am supposed to download an older EZ-Manager (such as 2.09) and use those drivers to install on my new computer.
3) Then, I just use the most recent EZ-Manager 2.22 to put roms on the cart.
Seems backwards, but I thought I would make certain it is REAL CLEAR for us dummies out there.
EZManager 2.22 was released as an update, the package you downloaded was most likely built on top of EZManager 2.20 (I know my version certainly was).
The errors page I linked only in case you have trouble (I probably should have said that in my post).
Basically if you copy the contents of the USB_Drivers folder to the windows\system32\drivers directory and follow the instructions on the wiki you should be sorted.

When I reinstalled my EZ3 hardware about 2 months ago I used the 2.20 files (which are included in the 2.22 archive as well), I plugged in the writer and waited for Windows to tell me it had found new Hardware.
I then gave it the whole "Here's the file" and let Windows do the install. I got that 2-3 times, and that was it. The hardware/software worked.
Please don't take that as it will work for you. I did the auto install, letting Windows find and install the drivers. I had no problems, whether you do or not, I can't say.
