I just bought an EZ Flash IV (Mini SD w/ 256 Mb NOR RAM), done all the steps, I've successfuly played a few game.
However when I try to play Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (after loading it and saving it to the MiniSD through EZClient of course), something goes wrong. Once the writing process begins I receive a number of messages that go like this.
error [sector: (Hexadecimal Number)] data:
I'm using a Kingston 2GB MiniSD, formatted to FAT, ran it through CHKDSK /R with no reported bad sectors.
It seems I have been neglecting this section- my apologies.
Kingdom hearts was a 256Mbit rom if memory serves which means it will go on the NOR memory section rather than the miniSD (SD is too slow for the GBA so it has to write roms to ram or NOR memory to have them work properly- this is what the delay is).
A couple of possibilities- 1 the patching software sent the rom over the 32 megabyte limit (quite likely). Patch the rom with GBATA http://www.no-intro.org/tools.htm
2 you have an error on your NOR memory. You might be able to force a reallocation but this is probably a replacement cart job. When you first click an icon to go to the cart you have another screen first- this is the NOR memory. Press start here. Once this is one find the rom and press select on it- press a and then wait a while for it to burn (you should only have to do this the once though).
