Probably there will be another topic, but i can't fiend it. I'm a little bit new on this forum cause i just got an EZ Flash IV card.
I wanted to play pokemon games, but when i play sapphire, emerald or ruby i have problems with the clock. So i thought let me try fire red.
I downloaded a ROM and put it on my miniSD card. I can fiend the game and i can play the game. But when it starts up i get the message: 1m sub-circuit board is not installed
I searched the internet already but i can only fiend fixes for the VBA emulator.
Now my question is, how do i fix this for my EZ Flash IV card?
What you just described sounds like the save patch has failed. Did you just copy the game or did you fire it through EZ4client ( http://filetrip.net/f4753-EZ4-Client-2009-04-03.html ) first? GBA cards are not drag and drop and as such you usually get to do a bit of patching.
Emerald was released a while after the first two (it can be considered something of a game of the year version) and nobody made a patch that worked on roms (carts had patches but nobody ever remade or ripped one- alas my EZ2 has RTC or I would pull one from that).
It comes with a program called goombafront.exe which is fairly self explanatory and ultimately generates a .gba file you can either try firing through ez4client. Minor hint- you can do it but try to limit the amount of gb/gbc roms in the individual rom file (as long as you name each goomba rom (and corresponding save) differently you can do what you like but having a massive list in one rom is not ideal.

so i never can play pokemon emerald on my EZ Flash IV card?
And yhea, i was searching the internet and already found goomba color. I downloaded it but i don't know how to work with it. When i open goombafront.exe i get a window and there is something called sellect emulator file, output file, add gb/gbc roms.
i don't know what to do with it.
Is it btw possible to patch pokemon emerald by myself? I don't know anything of it, but if it's easy to do i might try it:D
If someone makes a patch then you can play it. Difficulty- probably not something I would suggest you attempt for your first hack (it certainly will require a passing familiarity with assembly if want to try porting a patch and more than passing familiarity if you are going to do it from scratch. Some usage for goombafront though http://www.pocketheaven.com/ph/wiki/Goomba
The two main sorts of people you would want to ask are rom hackers and those that patch games to work (they are far from mutually exclusive but both good points to start a search from although you might have a harder time tracking down a game fixer versed in the GBA- it is not all that different from the DS but enough that it would take some effort).
Consider also that pokemon games are not held in high regard among many rom hackers and those that patch games to work- they usually generate more than their fair share of threads when they appear and almost inevitably do not work 100% and likewise many rom hacking forums also take more than their fair share of pointless threads and time wasted because of pokemon (it is actually quite a hard series to hack compared to a lot of things until the GUI tools get made).
Saying this there are some dedicated pokemon hackers with fair ASM level abilities (what are called for to do this) and if they have not done it in the now over 7 years since the Japanese release (6 and a bit now since English releases) you might find it hard to get one motivated (especially when emulators have no such worries).
ok i understand:D Thanx for al this information, u helped me alot.
But i have 1 last question:) It's possible to play gbc games on my ez flash IV, but is it also possible to play nds games on it? I've got a gamboy advence sp, so i don't have a nintendo ds.
Obviously not on the SP but yeah if you either run flashme on it (a way of firmware modding a DS) or have a nopass (DS slot flash cards had the ability for a while but most lack it now) for your DS you can run DS games. They have to be patched quite extensively compared to the DS slot stuff and as such the last update was in April 2009 so most of the newer stuff will not run but older games and homebrew should be quite doable. Frankly though DS slot carts are very cheap these days (ignoring the DStwo, iSMM and cycloDSi the latter of which you would be better to shy away from unless the team suddenly reappears they are all cheaper than a new game and some well under the price of a pizza), have more options (onboard cheats although you can just patch a rom, savestates, reset patches to name but a few) and support larger memory sizes (2 gigs (the limit of SD) gets you a fair bit of the way but some DS roms are quite large where most current DS cards support SDHC).
It looks like they have an RTC Fire Red and Leaf Green patch here, but I don't really understand what they are talking about or how to use it and the file link is bad, so there is only code:

Maybe this tool can do it? Author says it can RTC patch Pokemon Emerald, Ruby, Saphire, LeafGreen, and FireRed. And add in Day, Night, and Seasons to the games too.
