Thanks for keeping the site up FAST6191. After a couple of years, a marriage, and a child, I've finally dug out my old GBM and EZFlash IV. GBM still had power after about a 1 1/2 - 2 years of last use. I remembered why I stopped playing the GBA.. micro to mini adapters. Ordered a new minisd off of ebay. (minisd from cingular, still in package, for older phones). And of course I can't find my flash linker for my old X-Rom cart, so I'm patiently waiting for the new minisd card to come in.
I have a google pages site that I started about 6 years ago now to backup all the programs for my flash devices. (especially the older bung stuff). Sadly, I never updated the site to backup the eziv stuff. Luckily, this site is still around. Thanks for keeping the site up, and from what I'm reading, answering everyones questions very quickly.
tl;dr - thanks for paying monthly server costs and answering everyone's questions. its good to see the site still around, and users still getting help.

For what it is worth Sosuke is the one that pays the bandwidth and deals with the hosting/site management side of things and has since day one (not sure what the EZTeam do these days but I believe they helped for a while).
Also the GBM might still have power but the EZ4 battery might not be in such great shape (whether it will be in deep discharge or not I do not want to guess at). Panasonic VL2020 if you need to go searching for batteries for it.
As you are getting back into the GBA remember to poke around the hacks and translations section of http://www.romhacking.net/ as quite a bit has happened for the GBA in recent years.
Well the xrom battery is still working. Same battery as in the EZIV. If anything, I'll swap out the batteries if need be. MiniSD card should be here by Thursday. I'm glad to see a Sticky saying not to use adapters. I've had nothing but problems with them in the past. (Official adapters from official cards. No hong kong specials here.)
And yeah, I was looking over the romhacking site last night. Last time I played GBA the Mother 3 1.0 translation just dropped. (Still flashed on the xrom). So I definitely want to check out some of the new hacks.
Having a baby made me need to play something more portable. My desktop pc is collecting dust, and I need some games to play one handed, or at least pick up and put down quickly. Which the old portable gaming is perfect for.
So I guess Ill thank Sosuke for the hosting, but still thank you for giving users great support. Its good to see dedicated users, especially in a realm that used to run my life (portable gaming). It makes me feel old to know I've played some form of a GameBoy for over 20 years.
Now for really off topic, I need to find a way to flash the old Dr GB 64 bung cart, the one with the parallel port. I used to have an old Win98 machine I used to flash old carts, since in either 2000, or XP they blocked data transfers of that type over parallel. Anyone know if they ever made some updated flash linkers to work over usb instead of parallel?
Did the parallel ports not have unblocking programs? I recall a few but should I ever be subject to parallel these days it is usually 98 or worse. Also virtual machines are getting pretty good these days and you can pipe stuff across although I am not sure about parallel.
Frankly tough the GBA via goomba color (and DS via lameboy) emulates the GB/GBC well enough for me so I have yet to take the plunge but others have and they liked it.
